At Davenport Christian School (DCS) we have laid out the following educational goals.  To prepare students to serve God and fellow humans by:

Physical Development

Developing an understanding the body is the temple of the Lord and it is to be developed and used only for his glory. Embracing people of all types of physical abilities and recognizing the unique gifts that God has given to all. 

Mental Development: 

Developing minds with clear thinking and reasoning skills that can begin to understand the world that God has placed us in. Using core education classes as building blocks to better communicate and connect with others for the purpose of spreading the gospel of Christ. Understanding the human condition of sin and the grand schemes of redemption through the study of literature and language. 

Emotional Development: 

Providing an immersive experience in applying the golden rule to our lives and conduct so that we may shine forth the kindness and grace of God in our actions. Developing the mind of resilience that Christ had by centering our worth around God’s estimation and valuing the traits that he treasures. 

Spiritual Development: 

Creating an environment where the knowledge of God is pursued and where God himself can be experienced.  Providing a solid basis for faith in an age of humanism and unbelief.
